Job Title: Purchasing Assistant
Reporting to: Finance & Strategic Director

Location: Evesham HQ
Salary: £26,000 – £29,000 p.a. dependent on experience
Job Purpose: To support the Purchasing Department with transactional purchasing activities and take ownership of indirect procurement across the business. The role ensures accurate processing of purchase orders, supplier communication, and ERP data maintenance, supporting efficient supply of indirect goods and services and overall operational performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Raise and process purchase orders for direct and indirect requirements.
- Manage and support indirect procurement activities across ICT hardware, software and licences, office and facilities supplies, PPE, workwear, and general consumables.
- Maintain supplier records and ensure accurate ERP (D365) data.
- Monitor supplier deliveries, chase overdue orders, and follow up supplier acknowledgements.
- Maintain purchasing documentation and filing systems.
- Support supplier communication and resolution of routine purchasing issues.
- Assist with stock investigations and basic supplier queries.
- Assist with KPI reporting, data entry, and purchasing administration.
- Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing team.
- Support continuous improvement of purchasing and indirect procurement processes.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and ERP data maintenance.
• Support uninterrupted supply of indirect goods and services across the business.
• Improve supplier performance through effective communication and proactive follow-up.
Person Specification: Essential Desirable
• Experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain.
Italian language skills an advantage but not essential.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work with ERP systems (D365 experience desirable).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and develop within a purchasing environment • Experience in manufacturing or engineering environment.
Understanding of purchasing or stock control processes.
Exposure to indirect procurement categories.
