We manufacture a range of electronic fluid analysis equipment and are currently recruiting a Supply Chain Coordinator
Location:
Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire (Relocating to Evesham, Worcestershire - Quarter 2, 2022)
Job specification
· Forecast levels of demand for services and products
· Keep a constant check on stock levels; including slow moving and Brexit contingencies
· Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
· Implement a Supplier Audit process and monthly KPIs
· Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers and relevant internal departments
· Keep a constant check on stock levels; including slow moving and Brexit contingencies

· Implement a Supplier Audit process and monthly KPIs
· Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers and relevant internal departments
· Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
· Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided
· Keep contract files and use them as reference for the future
· Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities
· Develop a purchasing strategy
· Produce reports and statistics using computer software
· Evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors
· Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives
· Attend meetings and trade conferences
· Train and supervise the work of other members of staff
Key tasks:
· Co-ordinate a Supplier Audit Matrix/Process
· Be responsible for stock in all aspects
· Review/negotiate all utilities and services providers
· Monitor supplier performance
· Attend Production & Engineering Meetings
· Report on cost-down
· Supplier & trade show visits
· Support and assist the Purchasing Assistant with MRP stock ordering
· Fully familiar with 5S and lean manufacturing techniques
Qualifications:
· Experienced in using an MRP/ERP system (We use Microsoft Dynamics AX)
· At least 3 years’ experience in similar role
· Italian speaking an advantage though not essential
· CIPS qualifications (or similar) would be advantageous
· Fully familiar with 5S and lean manufacturing techniques
